What is DREC?
DREC is a public registry for verified digital community records. It helps platforms prove that important community activity — like goals, projects, structures, milestones, and ownership records — was actually registered, timestamped, and made verifiable outside the original platform.
For StoopUp, DREC verifies community goals and neighborhood structures so people can confirm that a record exists beyond the app.
How it works
A platform proves something happened
When a platform registers something real that happened — like a community goal being reached or a neighborhood structure being verified — it records proof of that in the DREC registry.
A permanent proof code is created
DREC creates a unique code for that moment. Like a receipt that can never be deleted. The platform can show it to users or use it to verify claims later.
Anyone can check if it's real
Anyone — a user, a competitor, a journalist — can look up any DREC code and instantly confirm: did this really happen? Was this really owned? Is the claim real?
